WHAT IS DISC?

Little History

William Moulton Marston (1920s-1930s): Marston, a psychologist with a keen interest in understanding human behavior, developed the DISC theory. He proposed that people exhibit behavioral patterns that can be categorized into four primary traits: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. Marston's work laid the foundation for the DISC model. Walter V. Clarke (1950s): Building upon Marston's work, Walter V. Clarke created the Activity Vector Analysis assessment, which later evolved into the DISC assessment. Clarke's work aimed to apply Marston's theories in practical settings, particularly in employee selection and development.

DISC Today

Imagine unlocking the secret to understanding yourself and others better, paving the way for smoother interactions, improved teamwork, and accelerated personal growth. That's precisely what the DISC model offers – a fascinating glimpse into human behavior and communication styles, tailored especially for young professionals like you. At its core, the DISC Profile breaks down personality traits into four main profiles:

Dominance (D)

Are you assertive, direct, and results-oriented? If so, you might lean towards dominance. You're the go-getter, the leader who thrives on challenges and isn't afraid to take charge. In team settings, you're the one driving projects forward, inspiring others with your determination and vision.

Influence (I)

Are you outgoing, enthusiastic, and sociable? Welcome to the world of influence! You excel at networking, charming others with your charisma and optimism. As a natural collaborator, you're the glue that binds teams together, injecting energy and creativity into every interaction.

Steadiness (S)

Do you value stability, harmony, and sincerity? You likely fall into the steadiness category. With your patient and empathetic nature, you're the reliable teammate who fosters a supportive atmosphere. Your pro skills for listening and understanding makes you indispensable in conflict resolution and team cohesion.

Compliance (C)

Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and systematic? Then conscientiousness/compliance is your forte. You thrive on accuracy and precision, punctual planning and organizing every task. Your methodical approach ensures efficiency and quality, making you essential for complex projects that demand attention to detail.
